Forgive me if you have seen these pictures, but here she is..., Michelle Obama on Martha's Vineyard in the perfect outfit for a bike ride and a climb to the top of Gay Head's Lighthouse. You couldn't get that helmet on my head though.
Casual going around town outfit, something I'd wear right down to the length of the shorts and the flats.
That's me..., and inspired by Sher @ Fashion over Forty who shares her outfits I thought I'd throw in a shot from last Sunday evening's beach walk (the shadow is my husband).
Lastly, a white summer dress for a night out at Oaks Bluff's Sweet Life Cafe, and at her arrival on the Vineyard. If you want to see all the detail of Michelle's outfits got to Huffington Post and you can follow her fashion here. Then @ Completely Coastal I take you sightseeing on Martha's Vineyard in the Obama's footsteps.

Love her. She looks confident in everything she wears--even a bike helmet!
ReplyDeleteHey Maya
ReplyDeleteIt is illegal here to ride a bike on the road without a helmut.. what about there?
But back to the rest of your post.. great pics of you! Nice to meet you.. and your husband's shadow. I think your next blog should be called 'Mostly Maya'! have a great week. x Julie
Great post, Maya! I enjoyed so much!
ReplyDeleteI love YOUR sense of style - you look like a model! And thanks for sharing photos of Michelle - looks like she was relaxed and casual - love that!
ReplyDeleteMaya,
ReplyDeleteYou look great! I like the white outfit best! We do have the helmet law here too and I do have one of them! LOL! We also have crazy drivers who try to pick off riders with their cars!! Great post!
I like all she wears, except I'd want shorter shorts. Love the white dress.
ReplyDeleteLovely shots... and I think you look fabulous.
ReplyDeletethanks for visiting That Old House. Yes, we're lucky to have a family beach house on Peconic Bay on Long Island's North Fork. My sister and I are planning a refurbishment of it -- it's a year-round house, but it needs some TLC; my parents lived there until they could no longer manage, especially being down a long private dirt road!
It's magical on the East End of the Island - much like Martha's Vineyard, where we were this time last year.

Maya, I want to thank you for all the wonderful pictures you've posted of the Obama's visit to MV. I haven't seen any of them except on your site, but then I know I don't need to look anywhere else but here. Your posts are thoughtful, respectful and fabulous!
ReplyDeleteI love the all white outfit, looks just like something I wear, but it looks GREAT on you! lol
Hi Maya
ReplyDeleteIn response to your question about the shadow box table, it came from Home Goods (about 5 years ago). The little panes pull out so you can put treasures into the see-through windows.
FYI: Pottery Barn Teen has a great bedside table with a shadowbox top that I've been lusting for.
I really enjoyed your Obama tour. I've been traveling a lot and had missed getting all of the details. You've completed the jigsaw puzzle for me.
Oh my goodness Maya at first I thought that was Nicolette Sheridan. You look wonderful.
ReplyDeleteyou look fabulous !!!
ReplyDeletethanks for your comment. big hug to you!!
You are so stylish, Maya! And I'm sort of obsessed with the Mrs. O website.
ReplyDeleteLove the shadow shot!
