Every Girl needs a Pearl

Nautilus Shell VaseOf course I'm talking about a pearl nautilus shell -I'm actually not a big jewelry person and the pearls that I inherited from my grandmother are stored away in a box. So back to the shell..., to Create The Look...

Pearl Nautilus Shell... you can find the Pearl Nautilus Shell at my other blog Completely Coastal, then follow Martha's Instructions: "Place a piece of floral adhesive on a plate (use just enough to hold the shell upright). Stick the shell to the adhesive, and then place a weight -- a fishing sinker, for example -- inside to help hold it in place. Fill the shell halfway with water, and add flowers, such as purple scabiosa and white phlox. Lastly, arrange pebbles around the shell; they'll add a finishing."

  6. The nautilus, one of my most favorite shells. I have a number of them around the house and one looks like this. It was a gift from an old beau, who knew I love shells more than jewelry. I wonder whatever happened to him…………… ;-)

  8. Oh, seashells and rocks are this girl's diamonds. Don't wear rings or jewelry. Just gets in my way. A man needn't send me flowers or baubles. I just want things from nature. Bring me a seashell or an unusual rock and I'm a happy camper.

Great idea. I love Nautilus shells. You can't have too many shells can you? Well maybe you can- but who cares? As long as I don't start gluing them to the toilet seat..

  10. Oh, even if you don't want to wear your grandmother's pearls, take them out of the box and display them somewhere. Put them in a little shell shaped glass dish on your dresser or hang them on your mirror and remember your grandma every time you look at them. Pearls are also so beachy - they are the ocean's gift to us ladies. :)
