Ann and her husband live on a small island in Nova Scotia Canada called McNutts where they are the only year around residents.
"We found this old house, built by fishermen in the mid nineteenth century, while searching the internet for a portal into another world."
You can visit Anne (and her husband) at her blog Nova Scotia Island, learn more about their home here, and check out the restoration of the fish house adjacent to their home @ Tiny House Blog.

ReplyDeleteHey how are you?? What a lovely post, never been there, shame on me in my own country too!! All the best,Chrissy
ReplyDeleteI loved her post about "what lies beneath" I grew up in a house with one of those old stone basements :)
ReplyDeleteOMG, that is so cool. I bet there's a lot of wind and some wicked gray winters there!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous blue cottage and what a spot!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your generosity, Maya - what a find! The house is almost as beautiful as that lady's face. I'll be checking out her blog as soon as I post this.
ReplyDeleteOh this was fun! I love her blog, but I also fell in love with the Tiny House Blog. I've never cared for large homes for myself, I prefer smaller, now if I could just part with some of my "stuff" I would move into a tiny house. You know, something along the lines of a beach hut! lol
ReplyDeleteThis is such a cute story! I love when people live a different life - break away from the norm and venture forth independently. It must be why I've always wanted to live on a boat - just make your own country from your own little surroundings... Great. Inspirational :) - Glad I found your blog. It's great.
