And why is Wilbert in the Picture?


Cozy Travel Companion
Is it silly to have a cozy travel companion? Beach Rose for example is entertaining the idea, but feels it's a little childish and not exactly "age-appropriate". And then there is Keith, a young man who has sent his doll Wilbert around the world with all kinds of people to places that he himself might never see. He feels if Wilbert was on Martha's Vineyard and in Rio de Janeiro then a small part of him was there too. Silly or not, I think Wilbert is adorable!

    That is so sweet of his friends to do that for him and I love the name. I just would feel self conscious taking pics of a toy when tourists and locals were looking at me.

    ...reminds me of flat stanley. joey made a flat stanley and mailed him to different people who would take him along on their travels. it was neat to see where he had traveled in just a month. xo, mickey

    Wilbert is very lucky to get to travel around the world! I have a online friend who did something similar a few years ago. I think it was a mouse or a bear though. Lovely photos. Thanks for sharing.
