According to Coastal Living, some people feel exalted by the primordial power of wind and waves..., and they take long walks, measured in breaths of damp, tangy air. I love my walks on the beach, no matter what the weather!
I mostly stay off the beach and in the house on bad weather days, though properly dressed, it might be fun. I have always wanted to spend Thanksgiving in Cape Hatteras. I imagine the beach would be deserted (even more than usual) and it would be cold and gray. A bit strange, perhaps, but for some reason, the idea, anyway, appeals to me.
I'm with you....any kind of weather is "beach weather". I love walking on stormy days...of course, not with lightning around...just the drizzle. There are so many treasures to be found after a storm...wonderful! Jane (artfully graced)
Yep.. count me in.. anytime on the beach is perfect.. altho at times, the roar can be deafening.. and the wind biting.. but so refreshing.. making a hot cuppa something even better afterwards! Life is the BEACH! warm smiles! big hugs! Loui Mountain Mermaid http://mermaidloui.blogspot.com
That's just how my beach visit was yesterday! There were very few shells to collect but it was wonderful to feel the wind in my face and smell the fresh, salty air.
oooh...i so love bad weather at the beach...the sea can be so fierce and mysterious...it seems to want to let us know just how much power it has in bad weather. i also love the beach in winter. xo, mickey
Great blog! Love the theme, and I love the variety you have on offer here. I'll be doing varoius write-ups on coastal destinations I regularly frequent (Greek isles, South of France, Pacific Northwest); stop by if you feel like it. :-) Best, Michael
i would walk through and in this weather.
ReplyDeleteit is so beautiful.
...and visually dramatic.

I am so with you on this. My favorite, favorite, favorite kind of beach day.
ReplyDeleteAs long as I had protection I could walk on the beach anytime.
ReplyDeleteYeah, whenever it storms, people hit the beach to check out the surf here. But I admit, sometimes I do it from my car...

ReplyDeleteOh...it could very easily be me except with a lot of cotton in my ears to keep the cold wind out. Any day at the beach is a GOOD day. :)
ReplyDeleteYep, I'd love the wind in my face and the brisk feel of cool air!
