A Smokin' Hot Shell

Quahog Shell Sculpture
Look at this amazing giant quahog shell sculpture. It's constructed entirely of tossed away cigarette butts! The piece was part of an exhibit at the Maritime Museum in Salem, MA, called Trash to Treasure. Thanks Sea Witch for sharing this! And speaking of smokin', I gave it up cold turkey thirteen years ago.

  6. That's funny, I quit cold turkey 14 years ago and it ranks up there with one of the best impulse decisions I've ever made.

Interesting expression of art Butts as a medium

  8. I don't know about the smell! True, it could be a bit nasty. The shell is almost 5 feet long, and I think all the butts were collected on beaches!
