A Fairy Tale Escape

Can you tell? Robin Brown is an artist..., a textile artist to be exact who turned her guest cottage in Texas into a fairy tale escape...

... hanging a few clusters of seashells here and there, ... and the "tender pink inside a conch shell" is one of her favorite colors. I love how she put that! You can tour her cottage @ Country Living..., and click here to visit her blog.

  1. Loved your Pink Saturday Post. The shells were so beautiful. I like the ones that you can pick up and actually hear the ocean. How beautiful is that. Is that like "Ocean in a Bottle?" I will definitely stop by your Pink Saturday Post Guest. Thanks for sharing. Please stop by Country Wings in Phoenix and say "hi". Country Hugs, Sherry

  6. Oh Maya!
Thanks for stopping by. I was so thrilled. Now the pool. I so love the pool. It is a lot of work, but in the summer the night swimming is to die for. Ours has a little bench down in the deep in, and it has jets that shoot water out that massage your back. It is so wonderful after a stressful day. When we bought the house, the pool was already there. Yes, you definitely have to get a pool next time. You would get so creative I am sure. I so enjoy looking at your site. I can't wait for next week. "Country Hugs", Sherry

I remember when her cottage was featured in Country Living a few years ago.

  13. Hi Maya!
What a great post. I'll be sure to check out the story to see more photos. Thanks for sharing!

I hope you are enjoying life by the beach. I am and tomorrow I'm so excited to go to a FABULOUS little town here in Spain called Bolonia. It is on the very south tip and is actually an old Roman settlement. Now there are only a few houses, hippie beachbars and a few cows roaming the beach. The water is aqua colored and very clean. There are wonderful littel coves and reefs and if you walk far enought you'll be surprised to see that people are not wearing any clothes... I discovered that sort of by accident last year - my kids got a quick anatomy lesson! (I have promised them another peek this year...hihi)

I'll take some picture and post on my blog!

    Take care and enjoy summer!

  14. Just to clarify: I'll post pictures of the BEACH - not the naked people...

  17. Good Morning Maya!
You take such beautiful pics, and I am in awe at them. I have posted some pics today for my Sunday post that I would like to share with you. I had a visitor in my gardens yesterday and I was so pleased to capture the pics I got. I only have a little digital so the pics are "babies" compared to yours, but they are nice. Pop over and see. 18. I have read about her in one of my older magazines. I can't remember if it was Home Companion or not.

She is an amazing artist and so full of a zest for life. It shows in her work.

    Happy Sunday!
